Yoshi completed his PhD in Behavioural Neuroscience at the University of Cambridge. He is continuing his research as a postdoctral scientist at the Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience.
Yoshi’s research project aims to elucidate the underlying neural mechanisms of emotion regulation, dysfunction of which consists the core symptom of psychiatric conditions such as anxiety disorders and major depressive disorder. His research outcome will contribute to the development of more accurate diagnostic methods and efficacious treatments for such mental disorders.
Yoshi is also interested in business field where people work to bring the advancement in science and technology into the real world. He takes part in the i-Teams project looking into commercial application of innovative technology developed by Cambridge scientists. At the Innovation Forum, as the Business Development Director, Yoshi works to build a network of professionals across academia, business and industry.
