About this Event

Neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) are a diverse group of communicable diseases found in tropical and subtropical regions. NTDs affect more than one billion people, many of whom live in poverty with inadequate sanitation. The cost of NTDs to developing economies is estimated to be billions of dollars every year. This webinar will discuss various different types of NTDs (such as dengue fever, cysticercosis, Chagas disease, and trypanosomiasis) , their impact, and what is being done to combat them.
