Staša Stanković

Business Development Associate

Staša is pursuing a Masters degree in Medical Science at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, and she is affiliated with the Department of Haematology and the Stem Cell Institute, University of Cambridge. Her research focuses on understanding the regulation of haematopoiesis in homeostasis and disease and the potential role of DNA mismatch repair genes as a regulatory network, using zebrafish (Danio rerio) as a model organism.

Staša’s interest lies in the translation of medical discoveries into commercial products, including topics on entrepreneurship and medical regulation that foster the ease of innovation acceptance in the social, economic and political systems. She would like to use Innovation Forum Cambridge as an interactive platform for more accessible communication of science and wealth creation based on innovation, amongst diverse knowledge resources, academia and industry.
