Sumaera Rathore
Operations Manager
Sumaera is a BBSRC PhD student at the University of Cambridge. Her research investigates the genetic basis of mitochondrial dynamics using Drosophila spermatogenesis as a model.
She graduated with a BA in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford and represented the university at the international Genetically Engineered Machines (iGEM) competition during her time there.
Sumaera is particularly interested in the application of fundamental research to develop novel products and services. She joined Innovation Forum to apply her entrepreneurial skills and is enthusiastic about strengthening connections between academia, industry, and policy makers to translate scientific ideas into technologies that shape our future.
